The slow way to get fastDear Friend,The slow way to get fast It is not always easy to give an objective answer to the questions I get. In spite of my continuously asking folks not to write me with the "compare your stuff to Brand X" people still do. Once again it is not out of arrogance that I say the following, "I do not have experience with any one else's supplements' so I don't feel justified in making statements about them. So let me address that a bit. If you want to run faster do the following. Run "intervals". By this I mean take your distance that you run say 10K for example and run 4% of that distance at 1 minute faster than your goal race pace, repeatedly with breaks in between. Do this until your distance run and your breaks equal 10K. Thus you would run 400 meters (440 on the old cinder tracks we still have around here) 12 separate times with 12 breaks of 400 meters walking in between. Now you aren't going to start there, you might only be able to do 4 X 400meters on your first training session. But if you train this way say every 10 days or so along with your other running, you will eventually be able to get to your goal and beyond. Do not simply stay at the same distance and run faster for that whole distance. It may work, but that is the slow way to get fast.
