I have taken both of them and was not really impressed.

Then again I've taken an awful lot of supplements to narrow it down to what I am offering you right now.

As a matter of fact I've been a veritable human guinea pig!

Don't tell anyone but I used to try a lot of the prescription drugs that were new on the market too. I figured that I needed to see how my patients would feel when they took them. So I would usually try them once before I gave them to my patients if it was appropriate.

I stopped when I found out they could kill you.

The other thing you should know is that I am a convert.

By that I mean that I was the most skeptical person when it came to vitamins and supplements you'd ever want to meet.

I used to walk around using the "expensive urine" cliché a lot. I never understood why anyone would waste all that money on worthless supplements.

Then when I got sick I found out 3 very important things.

First many supplements are actually worthless.

Next some that were not didn't work because the companies that made them didn't know squat about biochemistry, human physiology and all those other 64 thousand dollar words that are essential for proper choice in dose and ingredients.

Finally most of the companies just used lousy grade material.

What changed this all around for me?

Well I got sick with very bad high blood pressure and got sicker from taking the pills to "cure it".

My partners and I always used to joke when we got sick or something saying, "Physician Heal thyself"

Well that's just what I did but first I had to get off all those god-awful prescription drugs.

Then fish oil and the ingredients in what is now known as Super Omega 3 ( due back next week) got rid of my high blood pressure, got rid of the runners' shin splints I used to take Vioxx for and got rid of the need to take 5 pills that made me feel dull tired and always have to pee!

Anywho that is when it all hit me.

INTERPRETATION: The Chlorella-derived dietary supplement did not have any effect in increasing the antibody response to influenza vaccine in the overall study population...

In other word neither Echinacea nor chlorella worked in any fashion that could be measured, how people felt, or the actual immune response.

But maybe they will work for you.

Now when ever I put it to someone's favorite supplement I get a rash of nasty grams stating that this stuff "cured my impotence got rid of my genital warts and made my kids smarter and my wife sexier etc. etc."

Well I am sure glad something worked but I doubt it was either of these two.
