Is co Q for You?
Dear Friend,
I got a few emails over the question of who will benefit most from co Q 10 and what doses should be used. First off, I am not much of a single ingredient guy since the body doesn't function that way. Nonetheless some of you will read this and go out and buy just plain co Q 10. You may indeed get some benefit from this but there is a reason why I combine it with other ingredients like L Carnitene, malic acid and low dose DHEA in Regenerizer. The reason is a chemical pathway in your body known as the Krebs's cycle. This is how we generate most of the energy in our cells and how we use oxygen. Without it we would not be much more than immobile blobs. This cycle takes place inside a special area of the cell called the mitochondria. Recent research into this area of the cell suggests it is the key to fighting fatigue as well as many diseases such as obesity and diabetes. Those of us involved in anti-aging medicine will tell you it is also one of the main keys to staying young. Co Q 10 functions to carry energy from one point to another and then eventually release it so your cells can boogie down with the cellular thing they do! As we age, the co Q levels tend to go down. The good news is that you can replace it.
