Also I usually have fewer outbreaks when the days are longer and there is more sunlight which we know affects production of vitamin D. I remember you mentioning fish oil positively affecting the production of vitamin D so maybe that aspect of fish oil comes into play here as well. Just a thought. I am surely not the only person who has observed the effects of high doses of pharmaceutical grade fish oil on HSV and you probably have additional anecdotal evidence from patients or customers. Have your literature searches uncovered any evidence that proves a direct correlation between fish oil and reduced symptoms of HSV? Next I think we need to educate you as to what Herpes Simples type 2 ( Genital or HSV-2 from now on) is. I can well remember the Time magazine cover from years back which featured the "modern epidemic". It was all about Genital Herpes. Sadly soon after that the Aids epidemic hit and herpes became a "has been" headline... except to the many millions of people who are affected by it! Far more people have Herpes than AIDS, and some people have both! First there are 2 big types of Herpes, type 1 which is cold sore herpes and has no relation to Genital herpes Type 2 other than it is in the same family of virus. For several months B had experienced vague abdominal discomfort sometimes associated with vaginal burning on the outside ( labia) but no lesions were present at any time. She had a blood test to see if she had exposure to Genital herpes. This test is fairly new. It showed positive. She was treated for "internal herpes" and now has no symptoms. Her husband is symptom free. Please note this lady did not have any outward signs of Genital Herpes. Often there are sores that appear as painful or itchy little blisters on the s organs ( once again I have to be careful of the spam filters!)
