Pop QuizDear Friend,After my brain recovered from the moronic and incredibly frequent commercials from last night's Super Bowl, I decided I really wanted to write something meaningful. I got a lot of emails lately expressing thanks for writing so many educational articles. It is my pleasure, but now its time to see if you learned anything. So let's have a little pop quiz to see if you are just buttering me up, or if you actually learned something... Here we go! Answers will be posted at the end of the test! Question 1 True or False There is no difference between cheap regular food grade fish oil and Pharmaceutical Grade Fish Oil. Question 2 True or false Fish Oil may be more effective at preventing certain types of heart attacks than statin drugs. Question 3 True or false DHEA has been linked to certain types of cancer. Question 4 Which of the following cancers has flax oil been associated with? A. Prostate B. Breast C. Pancreas D. Kidney Question 5 True or False Cordyceps mushrooms have been used in China to treat AIDS (HIV), Hepatitis and SARS viruses. Question 6 True or False Both Coenzyme Q 10 and Fish Oil have been shown to lengthen the lives of both normal lab animals and those with cancer? Question 7 Which of the following compounds may cause sleeplessness if taken too late in the day A. Melatonin B. Fish Oil C. DHEA D. OK let's see how you did! Question 1: the answer is false. There are huge differences in Pharmaceutical Grade Fish Oil versus food grade. Food grade contains mercury lead and other pollutants at parts per million level... Pharmaceutical grade is pure out to parts per trillion which is essentially undetectable by the limits of most testing. In addition Pharmaceutical Grade is process purified and packaged quickly making it far less likely to go rancid and cause the fish burp that is so common with food grade. No matter how pure the oil is some people will burp it, but it is a lot less likely with Pharmaceutical Grade. My Pharmaceutical grade Fish Oil is designed to pass the same stringent purity tests that are applied to prescription drugs in term so purity and content. So if the FDA made Fish Oil a prescription drug tomorrow, we'd be ready! Question 2: The answer is true. The data from the GISSI study completed in 199 suggested that fish oil may be as much as 4X more effective at preventing 2nd heart attacks as statins. In addition all causes of death were lowered by 20+% in the fish oil group with no such finding sin the statin group. Question 3: The answer is False. There has never been a study that positively correlates DHEA with any kind of cancer. In laboratories DHEA supplementation appears to be protective against some types of cancers and improves longevity in test subjects. Question 4 The answer is Flax oil has been associated with an increased incidence of Prostate cancer. Flax oil enters the fatty acid pathway as alpha linolenic acid which in epidemiologic studies has been correlated with an increase in Prostate cancer. Some people like me believe that this also makes it liable for increasing breast cancer, but this has not been proven. Question 5. The answer is True. Cordyceps mushrooms are commonly used to treat and improve outcomes in many viral illnesses in China including hepatitis HIV and SARS. Question 6 The answer is True. Both Fish Oil and Co Q 10 appear to be powerful life extenders in laboratory studies. Question 7 The answer is DHEA. DHEA if taken late in the day will keep some people awake. Melatonin has the opposite effect. Fish Oil may help improve insomnia but generally does not make people sleepy during the day. Rhodiola rosea may help you cope with the stress of sleeplessness but does not cause it by itself. Question 8 The answer is Rhodiola rosea. In more than one of the articles on Instant Endurance I cite the reference that shows this. By the way I do not plan to include any references in this article because they are all in the previous emails I have sent you! Question 9 The answer is C. Instant Brain Power.
