"The Incredible Shrinking Co Q Caper"Dear Friend,Dear Dr Dave, I got something in email from HSI yesterday that I would like an answer to. The email is entitled CoQ10 supplies are vanishing! I remember last September you sent out an email to all of us letting us know that you were having trouble getting CoQ for Regenerizer. Then again in the early part of this year in one of your long long newsletters (they were great but hard to read!) you talked again about how scarce CoQ had become. I wasn't sure that you weren't just using sales tactics then but now I really wonder. Here is my question: Is HSI telling the truth about CoQ, or are they just copying your sales tactics or your newsletters for that matter! (I noticed I read a lot of stuff in other newsletters months after I read it in yours). Are we going to run out of Co Q? Mitzie Blaustein Chicago Illinois Wow! That one really got me thinking! So I'll try to answer the points in this email. Was I honest about my situation with Regenerizer and CoQ, and the shortages of CoQ in general many months ago? 100%! I have on occasion had trouble with the CoQ component of Regenerizer for many reasons, some of which I mentioned before: I am a small fish in a big pond, I use an inordinate (by vitamin company standards) amount of CO Q in Regenerizer, I use only the highest Grade CoQ available and let the rest use what doesn't meet specs. And Yes, the World demand has risen greatly. As a matter of fact looking over my emails to you, I realize just how many new things CoQ was found to be good for since I created Regenerizer back in 2001. Heart Disease, High cholesterol energy, anti-oxidants, movement disorders, brain function and athletic performance to name a few! As far as HSI is concerned, I don't know a whole lot about them but from what Mitzie sent me I wouldn't be a bit surprised if they were indeed archiving my emails and using them at a later date. Who Knows! It's been done before! Incidentally she is not the only one who forwarded me their email. Now as to sales tactics. Well I have to tell you they are not lying about the Co Q shortage! It is a real thing. Scarcity tactics are often used but in this case the scarcity really does exist, so 2 things will happen. 1) The price of CoQ will go up. Actually it has gone up 6 times since the creation of Regenerizer, but I have not changed the price YET! 2) By supply and demand, more people will want this scarce item. To be truthful I have been on the verge of discontinuing Regenerizer several times since I created it because it is so darn expensive to make! Every time I think about that however I realize just how many people are so pleased with it and love what it does for them...me included. ************************************************** Testimonial Dr Dave, Regenerizer is amazing!.. Well, for one thing the Japanese have been using it for sometime now as a cardiac (heart medicine). As their positive experience with it grows, so too does their use! While it is not a Traditional Chinese Herbal at all, it is plant derived so the Chinese are also a major user of it in recent years.
Well, last but not least, the Good Ol' U.S. of A. has in recent months become a major user of CO Q. The big boys are making it hard for us little guys to get what we need. But I do have special sources, and they can have the rest of what's out there. As far as I am concerned its inferior and I wouldn't want it in my stuff anyway. There is a chance that I may go to special order only with Regenerizer in the future. Frankly it's a pain in the butt to run out and have so many people angry at you for a while! Recently someone with a very large and interested customer base approached me to gobble up Regenerizer for his list. It hasn't happened yet and if it does my Pharmacy swears to me they are ready. So am I! And we'll keep cranking it out for everyone as long as we can. One last point. I have to agree with Mitzie about my long winded emails. In those days, I felt I needed to teach you everything I knew all at once in case you wouldn't come back. Turns out those fears were unfounded!
