In the past two years our knowledge of what causes us to age has expanded logarithmically.
Older theories like wear and tear and the free radical theory of aging have been validated as causes of aging but not necessarily ways to increase human lifespan and certainly not the only way to increase human health span.
Today I am going to focus on the latter theory of “free radicals” and update you on where we are with it today.
Many of you know of my involvement with TA-65 and several of you are now on the product. While I cannot speak anything but my opinion here, as I do not represent the company legally, I am personally convinced that telomerase activation is THE best way to lengthen life and improve health - at least from the supplement standpoint. As we age we lose the ability to replace and repair damaged cells.
Those damaged cells are damaged primarily by, you guessed it, oxidants (also known as free radicals). And the inability to deal with the damage is due to damage caused by, you guessed it, oxidants.
Couple with that the ever-increasing incidence of diabetes, which also paralyzes the oxidation repair system and you have a nation that is headed for ill health and premature death no matter what advances in public health we come up with.
