The Facts on Pharmaceutical Grade Fish OilDear Friend,The following is a collection of research, facts and writings from my years of experience with developing, selling and using fish oil. Much of the information comes from my daily newsletters which are composed of material I have gathered from various medical journals. Pharmaceutical Grade Fish Oil and ChildrenWhile the research changes, we can agree upon one thing. Children in this country are omega 3 fatty acid deprived. How would we know this? Well if you look at things like IQ, behavior or more practical things like attention, focus, learning, social skills and school test performance, putting kids on fish oil very often results in them doing better in all of the above. So how do you get kids to take fish oil? Here are several suggestions. 1) The Popeye trick. How did they get kids to eat spinach 70 years ago: “I'm strong to the finish”. One suggestion that seems to work well is that you tell your kids that this will make them like (as in become like, not be friends with) their favorite superhero. At this stage of the game most children have a TV cartoon idol; may as well get something positive back from the boob tube, in this case getting them to take a supplement that helps them be smarter, better behaved more focused etc. etc. 2) The bribe: You can associate the taking of the fish oil with a small reward, which may or may not be edible. Does this work? Sure, here's a Doctor Dave Tip: What works on pets, works on kids up to about age six. 3) The piggy back: Some folks who don't mind messes will squeeze the oil out into applesauce or ad a drop of lemon juice to the squeezed out oil and put it in Kool Aid or some other favorite (usually high fructose!) drink. Fish Oil is great brain foodThis seems to improve memory, mood and math skills along with a whole host of other learning benefits. Even more severe brain disorders, such as ADHD and even schizophrenia, are improved. Add this to all the other benefits of fish oil such as heart disease prevention, stroke prevention, arthritis and skin improvements and you'll know why I call it Mother Nature's all natural miracle cure. Fish Oil as it relates to Women, Breast cancer and Chemotherapy
In people situations, studies from the Southern California Evidence-Based Practice Center, Rand Health, in Santa Monica show a decreased risk for breast cancer among those who are regular consumers of fish oil. Another study by Cellular Biochemistry Laboratory, Methodist Research Institute, Clarian Health Partners in Indianapolis investigated the effects of pharmaceutical grade fish oil on breast cancer growth and found that within 21 days tumors were significantly reduced by the introduction of fish oil as a treatment. Fish oil has also repeatedly been shown to improve the response to various chemotherapy and radiation therapy. Even the American Cancer Society has given it a provisional recommendation, the only time they have done this with a supplement as far as I know Fish Oil Question and AnswerAnswer: It sure is. Normally the process is just inefficient so say you are hooked on flax and refuse to take fish oil even though I've warned you about the links between flax and prostate (and possibly breast) cancer. For most it would take a big dose to get the omega 3 levels you need. A big enough dose to send you to the bathroom in the near future thus, flax and flax seeds famous cathartic properties. But up to 30% of the population is literally flushing it down the toilet because they lack and enzyme called delta 6-desaturase needed to convert plant fatty acids into the necessary form for human use. For this rather large group of people only fish oil will do. Add this to the already low consumption of fish oil nation wide and you can see how we get old and sick and stupid as a country. Question 2: Is Krill better than fish oil? Answer: There is only one study on krill in people. It is sponsored by the company that makes krill and is titled something like 'Krill is better than fish oil.' There are 10,000+ studies on fish oil and how it benefits human health. Fish oil is causing enough of a sweat in the boardrooms of the Big Drug Companies (who do not support supplements) that they appear to be paying off researchers to do bad studies and publish them in major medical journals, just to contain the wildfire spread of fish oil usage. People are taking it in bigger doses and feeling amazing results and quickly. Name one drug that does that without exposing you to deadly side effects. Even the krill guy has been mighty quiet lately. I guess the money trail dried up! Question 3: Does sunscreen cause cancer? There is actually a big lawsuit going on right now debating that question. The answer is either "no", or "it depends on how you look at it". "No", because if you put on sunscreen everyday but never went out into the sun you would not get cancer of the skin or anywhere else because of it. So it does not cause cancer. The other answer, "it depends" is based on the labeling of sunscreens for the past 50 years. The concept of UV B rays being as bad for you in the long run as UV A (eat this, all you salon tanners!) was not an obvious fact 50 years ago. So our aging population, who also happens to be deficient on pharmaceutical grade fish oil in their bloodstreams to help protect them from skin cancer, has experienced a rash of skin cancers even though they used sunscreens. This is where the myth that sunscreens cause cancer got started. ![]() Dave Woynarowski, M.D., CPT The Nation's #1 Anti-Aging Physician Dr. Dave’s Best is located at: 1050 D Maidencreek Road Fleetwood, PA 19522 Phone Orders: 24-Hour Order Line: 866-654-7670 Fax: 610-916-3931 Dr. Dave's Best makes no claims to treat mitigate or diagnose any disease with any of the products listed on our site, past, present or future!
