More on fish oil and cancer

In years gone by I told how I was diagnosed with high blood pressure and how I used fish oil and what later became Super Omega 3 to beat it.

But I had a cancer scare too that I never told you about.

Please keep in mind as you read this that as a doc, I know very well what cancer can do to people.

The lump in my neck was found accidentally.

I had some back pain, my insurance was about to change and like many people I had never used one cent of my insurance coverage. So it made sense to get a little bit out of it before I switched over and went through the obligatory down time for coverage.

I was pretty sure that the back pain was mainly due to a combination of how I was sitting in my office and the heavy weights I was lifting in those days; many of those lifts using the muscles in my back.

So I schedule a CT scan. The scan, however, covered pretty much everything from the tops of my legs to the bottom of my neck.

On the last slice they saw a calcified lump in my thyroid and that is when the alarm bells went off.

The radiologists wanted more x-rays, CT scans, sonograms and of course to stick a guided needle in it.

The surgeons wanted to cut out my thyroid warning me that I might not only lose my thyroid but my voice as well.

Now you have to understand that I had not completely made my transformation to all natural supplement guru. But I had had success with my blood pressure so I decided to use what I had to see if I could not shrink this thing down and thereby convince everyone to chill.

And that is exactly what happened. I used high dose fish oil and Regenerizer and lo and behold the nodule shrunk and looked a lot less ominous on the next study.

In all likelihood it was benign to begin with since it did not grow but for several months if I had been the worrying kind I would have worried.

But I had already licked high blood pressure with supplements. Whatever this was, I was pretty sure I could lick it as well.

Now I am not saying you can cure cancer with supplements. I am not allowed by the FDA or the FTC. Similarly I am not even allowed to put the word “prevention” and cancer in the same sentence or I could be accused of “implying” efficacy.

So I am not.

But I can share my own personal experiences with you.

I can also tell you without mentioning the fact that I make such supplements, that fish oil has been shown to reduce breast cancer tumors, brain cancer tumors, prostate cancer tumors, reduce the incidence of these and other “solid” tumors, to reduce other tumors like lung cancer, leukemia and lymphoma and reduce the damage from the poisons we call chemotherapy.

To reduce heart diseases, high blood pressure, arthritis pain, cartilage damage from arthritis, Alzheimer’s disease and many many other maladies.

Not just to reduce the incidence (? prevention?) but to actually reduce the size of the cancer and damage from other disease when it has already happened (? If it were a drug made by a pharmaceutical company we would say the word “cure”).

This is why fish oil was my first product; because of all this stuff that, according to the powers that be, is not actually happening. It’s not actually happening even though it appears in study after study.

All of that said the only thing I can say that won’t wind me up in jail is, I make the two of the best fish oil products in the world: fish oil and Super Omega 3
